Savannah Ga Jan the 4 1862
Der brother I drap you thes lines to let you
that I hav got back to Savannah &c
I want you to be shore and plant out all
of them peach trees and get them apple
trees from Wilson Mclaritys last
Summer I Spoke to a man in
Marietta for sum Grape cuttings with roots
his name is Mason I think any
how nip will tell you his name and
where bouts he lives he clerked for nip
a while I engaged a thousand for
ten dollars besure and get them and
prepare the ground good for them
thare is nothing you could fix that
will pay any better besure and get them
I will send you th money to
pay for them I would plant them down
below the apple orched towards the old hog pen
I think that would the most appropriate
place but plant them where ever you
think best I would be sure
and plant out all them peach
trees and manure them good
and plant a heap of potatoes for if the
war last any thing that is to eat will be high
