Camp Young near Savannah Ga
Dear wief I Seat my Self to drop
you a few lines to let you noe that I am
well hopeing it will find you
engoying the Same blessing I have not
got any thing of importance to write you
Since we have got back we have
got orders to be in redeyness to go
back to north Carolina to Golds burow
thare was two Regements of our brigaid
turned back at charlston the yanks
have made demonsstrations so
tha think that tha are going
to attack that place a gane
it is Just this a way if tha
come back to that place we will
have to go back thare if tha dont
I think we will stay here at this
place I hope we will not hav
to go that a way any more this
winter at least if tha will wait until
Spring I dont care So much
I hea [not?] [???] got all my things [1]

as thare was 7 Regements and our
things was all to gether and tha got
mixed up so that we never will get all
of our things In closed you will
find the Receipt for my box nath
Sent Sum things home in it that
I did not want Sent my Jeanes
wesscot for one thing and your
Ambrotipe if nath did not send it
home it is lost if it ant in the box
I want your to have one taken
and send it to me the first opportunity
you get I want you to rite Soon and
as often as you can I think I rite about
three letters to you where I get one
I want to see you powerful
bad if you are going to come
Soon you could come with
Dr Maxwell as he will come before
Long I must come to a close so no
more only remain your fefectionet
