Dear Brother According to a
General order I heard red on yesterday
I think I think you will have to go
but you will find out the perticlers
a bout it a bout the act but are
acting strange if you dont get a
Substitute and you had better hunt
one out in time I think you
could get old Berdick or old
Esler and if you come and try it
you will wish you had have got it
if I was able to get one I would
not stay here one day for I can
tell you it is hard times here
shore & wurs a comeing I am a
fraid I want you to rit how you
get pulling fodder I want you
to send me that brandy soon
So you better get that substitute
Soon so more at present only
Remain yours as ever
