I found out where thare was
a Substitute could be had for
800 [or] a thousand dollars and you
had better go amediately and get
him for you will have to go
in to service shore I think so dont
delay for Jone James is a going
to try to get him so if you put it
off you will miss it shore the one
that I speak of is man by the name
of Strickland that lives with
Ezecle Polk or nere him Jone will
give $1200 dollars for one
you no that me and you
both gone we would be ruined
yours respecfully AJ White

PS if I was in your place I
would get one if it cost 2000
