Dear wief I seat
my self this Eavning to rite
you a gane I have got so I am
able to go on duty a gane
hopeing these lines will find
you and them Sweet little babeys
all well I received your letter
to day and I was glad to here
that you was all well but sorry
to here that Joes had to leave I
have thought all the time
he would have to go and at that
time he could have got a sbstitute
for 800 or a 1000 dollars and now
I dont suppose he could get
one for the twice that amount
now and the way that it is now
if he has to go he will have
to go to Virgina in closed he
can see the order on the
account of the small Pox
it was read out on dress paraid
yesterday Eavning that thare Should

bin stopt before that but two at atime
and by that rates I would not
have got to have come home
untel about March but it ma not
commence before March
if it was to commence then it would
be in the Summer before I would get to
come home it is quite cool
