Dear wief I seat my self
to drop you a few lines this leaves me
well hopeing it will find you and the
childering well I got a letter from you
on yesterdy you rote that little cissy was
sick but I hope she is better by now
I was very sorry to here that she was
sick if a She or any of the rest gets Sick &
neds a Dr while Dr Maxwell is up thare send for
him as you cannot get Dr Cotton now I gess
Calup brought my hat it fits very well
and I am very proud of it Calup is a
comeing home a gane recruiting a gane
I sold that last Brandy to Nath Lipscomb
and he has not paid me for it yet
but will soon and the[n] I will send
it to you you rote me you was going
to send me more close if you hav
not sent them when you get this
dont send them now for I dont nead
them now we have Just got a
uniform it is a poor thing but we
are obliged to take it and ware
it with that and what close I have
got will be as much as I nead

we are attached to Cobb Divission
if that is so we we will go in
a few days to Flordia on the
Appalacha Cola Bay I dont noe whether
it is so or not I believe I had
rather be thare than here I want
you to try and write a letter oftener
if you can I would be glad to her
see you and the childering but I dont
noe when I will kiss littil cissey
for me & Budey & Zipp tell them
papa will send them sumthing Elce
after a while so I must come to a close I
