Camp Clingmond nere Wilmington
Dear wief I Seat my Self this
morning to rite you a few lines
this leaves me well hopeing it will
fid you all well I have nothing
of importance to rite you we are at
the Same Camp and still have
to have three rashions on hand
to be redey to march at a moments
worning we drill nerely all the
time on christmast the Col gives
us a holly day we nerely all went
to twon to get our diner I got[1]
as good a diner as I wanted to
eat but it cost me 1.50 cts and I
got one drink of good old Santa C[l]auz
Rum I went all over the town
and went out to the Oak Dale
Cemitarey it is the Largest grave
yard I ever Saw in my lief thare
is 3000 thousand more graves [???]
effects of th yellow fever thare is Sum
of finest tomb Stones I you ever saw
I got Sum flat cedar berrys that you

them and plant them & if I never
see you a gane Keep them in
rememberanc of me I have no ideer
that I will get to come home at all

you rote to me about sending Zeppa
to School I think you had better send
her if I dont never come back I want

Education that you can posibley
can we fare better here in the
eating line than we did at
Savannah we get as good beef
as I ever eat we get bacon 2 beef 3
and &c we draw flou[r] 2 times
a week I got your letter day before
yester day dated the 14 and I was glad
to here that you was all well I am
getting ancious to here from you
a gane rite as often as you can
I will do the same we are looking for
our things from Savannah to morrow so no
