Camp Young nere Savannah Feb 13 1863
Dear wief I Seat my Self to drop you a few lines to let
you noe that I am well hopeing these few lines will
find you all well and doing well I got two letters
from you yesterday and 1 from Wade and One from
Father tha was sent from Wilmington I was glad
to here from you [the?] One dated Feb the 1st and
the other the 4 the one that was dated was directed
to the Capt was the sort of a letter I like to get
a long one I have not got any nuse to rite
that would interest you the Capt got in from
Wilmington last night he is So as to be a bout
John frost come up last wendsday and Spent
the day with I am going down next Sunday
to spend the day with him I ges you have got
a letter from me before now informing you
that we have got back here and you can I want
you to come down and see me if you can
I want to see you all powerful bad and thare
is no telling when I will get to come home
and it is verry uncertain how long we will get
to stay here I hope though long a nuff for you
to come and see me

I send this letter by John Danforth he is comeing home
recruiting the officers can get off a most any time
but a poor private has to take it when he can get it
if Father cannot come with you could come by your
Self for you would come write strate through and
who can brought you to the rail rode Just put you
under the Care of the conducter and he will see
you and your bagage through safe I want you to
be sure and come before long write when you
think you will get off you will have to leave
Atlanta at 11 eleven Oclock in the day by starting by day
light you could get to Atlanta in time to start
the same day then will get to Savannah next
night
7 Oclock next morning tha are looking for a
fight her ever day but hav bin looking
for that ever since I first come down her
and it has not come on yet write soon tell
the babeys howdy for me give my respect to Wade
I will write to him soon So no more only
