Camp McDonal Cobb County gorgia March 26 [1862]

My Dear Wife & Famley I have to inform
you that we have to leave heare next Saturday
or how ever our orders is to leave a Saturday
also I sopose we are to be Musterd in a Saturday
and git our bounty if so you May look for
the Money the next friday tha was
twenty five of our compney got furlows
to day to go home it was left to a draft
and I did not come heare to be Drafted
but I could not a walk home & back by
Saturday by Sun Rise to anser to my name
and them that ant heare will be cut out
of the bounty I want you to Make Me
Some clothes as soon as you can and it may
be that you will git Some chance to Send
them I had not finish the other lins
yesterday more then one hour til we was
Cald back to camps to prepare to move to Noxvill
last nite or this morning but it is put off
til Saturday I doant exspect I will git the
oppertunety of coming home under Six
months if then but the first oppetunety
I git I will make use of it I had Ruther
be at home & Stay one Month then to have
this world and all its worth
