Dear daughters itake my pen in
hand to let you know that iam not
well at present iam not able to set
up hoping that these few lines may
find you all well and doing well
we received your leter and was glad
to her from you and Sory to hear
that you was left alone in this wide
trouble some world i would
be glad to see you and
be with you but i cant in this
world now but i hope i will See
you in haaven Elisha and Matilda
Se[n]ds there bes respects to you
all and Martha Gilleland sends her
love and best repects to you all

Dear ants and cousins itake my

and Johnson is gone to war John

kirby and he stade with her
5 wks and 9 days after he was

when they loos as good a Mother
as i have i hope that peace may
be made before iwrite again
be Shore and tell uncle henry
to write and when he writs to
me tell him to back his leter
to Malinda Bridges write soon

is night and the Candle
is nely burnt out and this is
the last paper ihave got and
