Deare Wife I imbrace the present
oppertunity of Riting you a few lines
to let you no that I am well at
present hoping that thes few lines may
find you all well and doing well I
have Rote 4 or 5 letters and doant
git no ansars from you I would
be glad if you would take time to
Rite me a few lines if I am a good
wayes of I ant out of Mail Reach
I Rote 3 letters last weak the 7
day of the month one to you 1 to
Alabama 1 to Hammonds 1 to
Zeno Whitney he Sent me word
to Rite to him & Sade if he new
whare you lived he would come
to See you I Rote to him whare you
lived & fer him to come & I Rote fer

We havent had no mor fiting

letters the paper is worth 5 the invelop
is worth 3 and then the poastege 5 and
that makes 13 cents & four times is 52 cts
and then 50 cents per weak fur tobacco
is aRaking me down prety to I would
not ceare if the Riting part Cost one
dollar if I Could git eny letters from
you I never have got but 2 littel
letters from you Sinces I have
bin in Camps and the first one
was at the big Shanty Sent in one
of Kircuss letters and the next
one Kircus fetch I want you to
