My Dear Wife I Seat my

Self down to inform you that I ame well
at this time hoping that these few lines
may find you all well and doing well
I Reseived your letter last nite dated May
16 1862 with grate Joy and Satesfaction to
heare that you are all well I want you
to See if you cant Rite a littel more the
next time I hardley ever git aletter from you
and then thare is none of it it looks to
me like you mite Rite a littel more at atime
and you never stated wither you got eny but
one of my letters or not or what date the one
was you did get I would always like to no fore
I Rite one or two every weak and I would be glad
to no wither you git them or not you Stated
that tha was a Mis Robinson that took out your
letters & Red them I have Sent 2 letters home with
money in them to pay the postege I pade the
first & Sent money in it to pay the next
So that you will have one ahead the other I Franket [1]
the other them was the last two I Rote I thought
that tha would be more Sirten to go when
tha wasent paid you need not Send no more
paper til I Rite fore it I would be glad you would Rite

P Kircus and he Sade he did not git but one I heard

he will be abel to come to camps in afew days he

we was orderd to leave all the clothes & bed

and if you have let peggey find it out you must

may tel her that he weas on the mend the other
day and if She wants to Rite to him Rite Jest
like She never heard from him & derect her

She dos not no it you nead not tell her I want you

I think our Coln has got more cence than that
but it looket to me that he aught to of had

in your letter if you are giting Scirles [4]
about Riting aready in 3 year it will dry up
intireley as fur as Riting is concerned tell all
all the Children howdy tel John that I have
Swapt knifes til I have got him a prety good
one if he ever gits it So no more but
