Dear Wi bee loved wife I hav
a rieved at this an found all
the boys heare and I like the
plase better than I thoght I wold
I am well satisfide as a man cold
bee and wee got heare time enuff
hit is all right with us and old joe
Brown I hav saw a heap since I
left home I come from athens to
atlanta with two yankeys tha caught
neare white county and there is
lots heare in this plase the armey
is 35 miles from us but wee
can heare the cannons all the
time when tha fighting but
you nead not to bee oneasey a
mee fore tha say tha wont pu
t us in the fight fore johson [1]
has got 2500 men that
he hant never put in to the
fight and we
