My dear wife i again Sit down to write
you a few lines which will inform you
that the boys an my Self air all well hoping
this will find you the Same i have nothing
new to write to you more than what i rote in
my letter to you last weake i am now agoing to
Send you twenty dollars which will bee plast in
the hands of B F Thorpe to deliver to you at home
i Send it to you for you to use for your self an
children an i want you to do So you can give
Matts children a dress a pease if you think
proper to do So if if i dont git the chance
to come home i Shall Send you more when i
am paid off again my dear i dont want you to forget
me i do long to see you an the children
i Send also to guss Wimberley one hundred
dollars to pay your brother for my land
