Dear ma
I take my pen in hand this
Evening to Drop you afew lines to let
you no that Brother and my Self air
well at Preasent hoping those few lines
may find you the same Pa is gone
to the hospital he has Bin gone 2 weeks
and I have not herd from him since
he left Iam afraid he is worse then
he was when he left he told me
that he would write to me as Soon
as he got to Richmond But he has
not done it maby he is gone on
home I hope that he is at home By
this time I want you to write to me
as soon as you get this leter and
tell me all the nuse I promist you
that when irote to you again Iwould
tell you what we was in line of
