Dear ma
I take my pen
in hand to right for
the Purpose of ancering
youre kind letter which
Came to my hands this
Evening and Iwas mor
than Glad to here from
you and to here that
you was all well this
leavs me and Brother
Both in verry Good
health at this time
I have not Got any nuse
to write to you that
would interrest you at
all we air in Camps
now But I cant tell

how long we may Stay
in Camps for we have
got Orders to bee ready
to move at any time
and wee may move
from this Place in
One hour I cant tell
But I will trytot finish
my letter to night So
I Can Send it off in
the morning we think
that the yanks air going
to fight us here a gain
they raised afalce
allarm last night and
we thought that they
was moving But they was
not well I tell you that
I am Just like the
Girl was By morning
I am as ready to fight
