Dear ma
I have Just Recived youre kind letter Dated
the 15th I was more than glad to here from
you and to here that you and the family
was all well this leavs me and Brother
Both verry well at preasent and I hope
this will find you the Same I have
bin verry Sick Since we have bin
here at this place But I am well now
and I hope to Remain So as long as I
live we air Campt on James Island
South Caironlina and have bin here
nearly too weeks I rote to you to Send
me Zeaks [1] Ambrotype by Billey martin
and you did not Say any thing about it
in youre letter I want you to Send it to
me for I want to See it I will have
mine taken and Send it to you if you
will Send me Zeaks and I want you
to Send me one of my Bead Blankits
for I have not got But one blankit and
it is mity Coald here Brother Says that
he wants you to Send him apr of Pants
Shirt and Socks I have not got any
nuse to write at this time I think

any chance to get furloughs this
winter if we Stay here for the

I hope that we will not have any
fighting to do as long as we stay here
