Dear ma
I have Just Recivd
youre kind letter Dated the 5 inst I was more
than galad to hear from you but was
Sorry to hear that you have such bad health
I am in hops that you will Soon get well
and have good health this leaves me
in the best of health I am thankful that
I am pirmited to have good health that is
all I desire and to bee a good christian and
then I Can get along verry well you Stated
in youre letter that you wanted to no if
I Recived the letter you Sent to me by Frank
Walker yes I got it and rote to you as Soon
as I got through Reading it you all So Said
that you was going to Sell the goats you
must get as much for them as you can
Dont Sell my Shoe tools under any circomstancs
you must hold fast to them for I will need
them when I Come home I think that Brother
will get off Home bee for much longer
as for my Self I dont think thair is any
chance for me untill next winter and
amity bad chance for me then I will
Stay in the armey 15 years beefor I will
Run away, you Said in youre letter
that you thought them boys that went Home
without leave ought to have afurlough
I think so to: but I tell you the boys ought
not to have done so it will keep though them from
geting afurlough I am mity sorry they

to oald Virginia ma I am glad of it

letters to you in the last 3 days I will not
write much for the Smok has come verry
