this morning for the purpose
of ancering youre Most Kind
and welcomd letter that
came to hand afew days a go
I was more than glad to hear
from you and to hear that you
was all Well. this leaves me
in good health at the
Preasent time and I hope it
may Reach and find you all
the Same, ma, you must
not think hard of me for
not ancering youre letter
beefore now, the yankies
has torne up the Rail Road

and Ido not Know whether they
have fixt it yet or not
but I am going to try one
letter any how I am a fraid
that old Sherman will
disstroy Evry thing
in Ga if I had the yanks
all in my Power I would
have an Earth quake and
kill the last one of them
at once it looks like that
we have got to fight them
4 years longer and I tell
you the truth I dont think
that we will bee able to
stand up to them for 4 years
more for we have got
last armey in the field
and they can keep Recruting
their armey all the time
