I this morning imbrace the oppertunity to drop you
a fue lines to let you know that we are all
well at the present time and happing that
thes fue lines will find you and all the boys
Injoying the same blesing Jo I havent got eney
fresh newes to rite you onley we was at Mr
Wellsis at a cornshucking last night and we
had a fine time you ma depend ther was 9

clock Jo I must sa suthng a bout Mother
and rix pix for thay went to Johson to see

did not cear if she did brake it the old lady
told Silt to read hear love letters to mother
and rix pix she seas that if she hase got any
old man it Mr Huey in verginea
she sed that he sent his love to hear and
told her to return the complemets and send him
a lock of her har to pison the rats and it [2]
the rats pesters you you can git the pison
without money or prise Mother is waiting on me

old John G was doing at this time
I dont know what he is doing at
that time he was last night corting
Mis Elica Willingham at the corn pile
like he never thought of the poor
vouluntere a bout two weeks ago he
was working at Mr applings in day and
staid at out hous evry other night and potended
to help Pa shuck corn and cortid line [3] tell
she looked as pale as ashis she
got so week on the stranks of it Mother
said go home John honey and stay at home till
I get my little bour pig fat and I will let
you know but he wont wate and it frets
the old lady Jo I have no news to rite
