Dear Sis
I now seat my self to drop you
Afew lines to let you no how I am getting
I am well at presant and hope this may find
you the same. Sis I have heard something
this morning that done me more good
than any thing I have heard lately
I reccon you have heard it before
now but I will tell you what it is
this morning Lieut Whitehead receive
Amuster roll that Benj drew
his money in Petersburge and if
Benj has not gone home he is in
Petersburge now this you may
believe for it is so and no
mistake you have heard from him
before now I exspect write to me
if he has got home or not if he
has not write to me if you have
heard from him I exspect he

is with the paroled prisinors in
Petersburge if he is and you have
heard from him write to me and
I will write to Benj and tell him
how he can get home I no he
is in Petersburge if he has not
gone home but if they wont
let him go home I can tell
him how he can go and stay
till he has been exchange for
I no too of our boys that went
home the same way but I hope
Benj is home before now Dear
sis I feel very bad to day I was
vaxinated the other day and it
makes me sick my arm paines
me A good eal Sis you must excuse
this short letter write soon
