Battery near Dear wife I seat
Savanah my self to let you
know that I am abo
out doing duty & have got a cold &
dont feel verry well I received your
letter on the 9th inst, and was glad
to hear from you but sorry to
hear that you was not well but glad
to hear that you was not verry
sick none of you I wrote you a letter
on the 18th of Sept I want to know
if you got it or not I wrote to you
about after that about the box I
got it and it was all right in it
& the Jug was full on the 2nd day
of October I started you a little
Box Write to me if you have
received the Box and what you
had to pay freight on it how
musch was the freight I sent
a Dollar up by the man
that tood the Box to Savanah
and he said it would not

pay the freight on it and so
he did not pay the freight on it
how much freight did you
have to pay on that Box you
did send me write & let me kn
ow in your next letter the reason
I did not answer your letter no soon
er was that I was at work the day
I got your Letter & the next day
was on guard was on River
sidd last night and what time
I got to sleep I was dreaming
about being at home with you all
and of kissing you and the Baby
in your letter if understand you
wright you said that you had
give out coming to see me I was
sorry but I expect it was for
the best I should be uneasy
about home and the children all
the time you would have been
down hear and I dont
want to pleasure them people

up there to pay them four or five
prices to stay with the children
while you would be away I was well
pleased how your corn turned out
and fodder and I want to know
how many loads of corn you
made let me know in your next
letter all about it I was also well
pleased with the price you got for
the heifer but I did not understand
for certain which one it was
sell what I wrote to you in the other
letter to sell and dont be afraid
to ask a big price for what you
want to sell for I am not posted
in what things is worth up there
and if you dont be independant
an have your own price let the
stock pick your pasture off good
if you have not got anything
for Floyd to do put him to
sowing Oats in the ten acre
field where they growed last

year I want it all sowed in oats
that is the Ten Acre field if you
go to sowing quit sowing oats
so as to commence sowing Wheat
by the 15th of tis month keep
Floyd a plowing all the
time and tell floyd he must
go a head and work like
a man to keep from paying
such prices big prices for work
it dont matter so much
about it being plowed deep
so it is plowed close the fresh field
is a plenty to sow in Wheat an
if can conveniently
put your old cotton seed on the
poor places in the field from know
untill Floyd gets the Wheat plowed in
keep him at it every day ir dont rain
only when you need the mare to
work to the Bugg measure the
Wheat so as
