June 11th 63
We had 5 men taken prisners night before last
they were on picket at Wilmington Narrows, and
were Supprised, and taken by the yanks that is a
dangerous post I have been there, and will have to go a
gain I reccon, but I do not like it much it is more
dangerous now than it was before as the yanks
have found out all about it

I will mail this to day I have been waiting for
Mr. Singleton to get his furlough but it
has not come I cant tell when it will
nor when I will get mine you must
write soon if you have got any good
steel pen points send me one in your Next
letter good bye W.H. Harden
