  2. The 1860 census lists Robert T. Chestnut’s age as 23. He lived in his father’s household, Lumpkin Post Office, Stewart County, GA. There were a number of Chestnuts serving in Co. E, 31st Georgia, including Pvt. Robert Thomas Chestnut.
