Camp Wilson. Jan. the 12 1862
Dear mother
I will write to you
to let you know how i am and
how iam giting along I am glad
to say that iam well and engoing
my self very well. I have had the
meezzles but I am entirely well
now. I sent you a letter a bout a month
ago I do not know wether you have
received it or not I will try and rite
you a litte how we are situated we
are in camps a bout two miles from
Savannah on the shell road.
We have got a plenty to eat Such as
beef & Biscuit and Oysters. I have
never been down on the coast yet
to see the Bay. We are looking for
orders every day and I know not
whare we may be orderd. I expect
we will go on some Island though
Thare are no news about here so
I must close by sending love to all
write soon as you receive this and
let me know how you ar geting along
good by write soon to your son
