Dear Mother I will write
you a Fiew lines whitch leaves
me will I hope that these fiew lines
may find you all well I have
nothing of importance to write to
you at this time Mother I recieved
your leter in Diew time and I
was glad to hear from you all
Write to me how you air geting on
for something eat tell me Just
how mutch Money you have got
Wee have A Plenty to eat Such as
it is We have Pickles Beef and hogs
Jaws a plenty Mother when you
wright to me get some body
to wright that Can wright
A Plain hand to read I Cold
not read your leter to make
sence of it it wrote so bad
I have lurnd to do my one
wrading and writing and
it is a grate hilp to me

that they are all well and well

145 Pound in My shirt sleavas
We have bin orderd to Cook four
Days rashings Mother I have lost
ten Dolars I know whether it
was stolen from Me or not I
wish you may send me some britches
by R. T. Chestnut I have bought
too shirts write as soon
as you get this leter wrigh as often
as you Can Nothing More at
