I now tak my pen in hand to drop
yow a few lines to let yow know how i am
an whar i am i am well and i am 3 mile
from Richmon bwt wee will not stay her
long no time set one Company is packin up

wee did the 1 nite wee lay in Rolly in
the cars 2 in weldon 3 in richmon i hav
not sufferd for nothing only a good drink
it is good her the 1 good water we hav had
i can not tell yow whar to rite to mee yet
i want to now whar the balance of the
men ar that wee left at statsvill mee an aff
