from richmond to Danvill i an fry Dockry
and eidson wee ar not in 400 miles of our
regiment i dont no how long wee will
sta her you can rite to mee her if yow
wish to i wold be glad to her from you all
if i am not her it will follow mee they
Say dont yow griev about mee for
i am not Sick a tol i am harty

as any need to bee i hav not much
to rite at this time The news came
richmon the day bee for i left thar that
all 3 of the Taitts boys was dead but i
hope it is amiss take an the fields to
