My Dier Wife
I Now Take my pen
in hand to drop you a
few lines to Let you now
that I am well an harty
and I hope thes few lines
may find yow all well I
hav been looking for a letter
from you for a week bwt for
you ar oneasy a bowt mee
i will drop you a few
lines I think i will get one
soon wee hav been in to a
little Scrumedg Since I
writen to you or got one
from you Some parts of our
line Sufferd very mwch
the yanks taken all of our
men on a serprise the
first thing wee all new
thay was shells into our
camp
