I pen you a line this morning in
hast I am tolerble well I hope
this my find you all well
I have sent a petition by L. B. Abernethy
as he Leave here this morning & if you
or no one has not goton up on
befoe for me I want you to take
this one to Capt Bridges & aske
him to get Signers to it for me
& then I want you or Some one to
take it to Newton & have the county
Seal to it & get the Enrolling officer
to Sign it & Sind it to General
Homes at Raleigh N.C. & I
think I can get home as a Farmer
But if Capt Bridges Cannot do so for
me I want you to get some one else
as soon as you can for the sooner
the Better I cannot write much more
but I will in a few Days I Close
