Dear Sister
I Received yours
of the 4th and was pleased to
here fom you and to no you
were doing so well I hope you
all at home may continue to
keep well and get along well
I am yet here waiting for the
Enemy to give me a visit we are
clost together to never Speak or
got to se each other thos I would
never go to se them as a friend
if I could and were to Stay
here twenty thousand years
and peace ever made for I have
no fellowship for them they

I Suppose talk of having a
ball in Richmon soon I think
they will get good pardners
before they get there so if they
Should Start they willnot
have far to go before they will
finde rume eknough to promonade
I think we will soon [??]ing
corners Mag I am yet in the
field and woods together and
cannot tel how long I may be so
but as long as the war lasts or die
or is killed, I am doubtfull they
will soon be to se you all in
Tarboro if they should start
there I had wrather meet them
nere there than else where while
they are eating our provision

Mag we have a good many
many men getting discharges
and has them, that are as they
were before this conscript tho I
cannot think a man will of
would try for one unless he
was unfit for survis for times
I am a fraid will be nearly as
hard at home as here and
wors if we were to loose what
we are in persuit of,
Mag I would be glad to see
a good many of my friends at home
but chances is bad to get off so
I can but only think of them
and the times I have had
I often think of the past and
hope for [????] to se you all
