Dear Son
I seat my self this evening
to answer your kind letter that I receiwed
yesterday I was glad to hear that
you was well your letter finds me and
family well and doing as well as could
be expected I shal finish cutting Wheat
today and I hop that I shal save
my oats you requested meto write and
to tell how many letters I received
from you I have only got three one
from Raleigh one from Goldboroug
and one from Weldon yor corn looks
very well I have no person yet to
lay it by as Josep is coming I
will write you afew lines to let
you know how I getting along I must
come to a close I Jo is waiting
fo it write soon I remain
your affectionate Mother
