inform you that I am well hoping these fiew lines
may reatch and find you ingoying the gratest of
health and fathers family too dear brother I have mutch
of anything to right only I have bin in three of
the largest fights that was ever fought in a merica
or hope that ever will bee fought a gain We run
them to the happy land of canian We run
them all most to deathe Dear brother
I want you to come back as soon as you can
for I want to heir from home and all
of the crops John I want you to write
to me as soon as you git this and give me
all of the newes that is ?>ning for I
want to heir from you all bad a nuf
give my love to all of the famaly and tell
them to write John I did not draw
your money when We draw money before
for we was going in a fight and I did
not draw it but we will draw in a fiew
days and if you dont come I will draw it
for you John and Willy futch got kild
and Robert got kild at macanicks
vill in the first fight we had So I
must close for having nothing to write
so nothing now at this time only I
still remain your kinde brother
