Dear Brother Jno. I take the
opportunity of writing you
a few lines to inform
you that I am well at
present and hope this
letter may find you
the same & family
also John I recieved your
letter the 16th & was sory
to hear that you had
Been Sick John I have just
drawed my money I had
drawed befor I got
your letter I would
draw yourne But I have
Got know way to take
Cear of yourse or I
would of drawed yourse
if I can Get any chance
I will send you some

I want to come home if
I can get a furlough
I reckon that Capt. Armstrong
will come home in
a few days and you had
Better See him. So
nothing more at
this time onley I
