My dear Child i take my pen in hand
again to drop you a few lines to let you
no that we are all well , it seams
like thare is not all of us our fam
ly is very Small when one is gon
it is missed i miss pore litle bell at

at bed and every whare we hope
when these lines reach you tha may
find you well and a dooing well
i have not much of importance to
rite only thare is a goodeal of sick
ness and a good many deaths Robert

Thoms wife died last knight She
the flux She was not sick more
than 3 or 4 days i fear the flux is
goin to be Severe about hear Wa[??]
Causeys wife and Leanner is Sick
tha have the Chills and fever

well James we Send you alitle floure
and Some fruit a few molases and a
little buter and a litle vinegar it
is not good but it is the best we have
you must devide a litle with Dock
for bringing it and if he gets thair
before the hands leave if you can box
up Some of the things and Send home
and if you can send that cag home
we can Send Some molases to you your
unkle Eli Fields talks of going back
after harvest and aking a team if
he can get it and Daniel Kirkman
will be a goin down that is if you doo
not get to come home at harvest but
