Self to drop you afew lines
in answer to your letter that
I received afew days ago I was
glad to hear from you . the
reason I did not answer it eny
Sooner we wair marching all
the time my dear I am well
at present only one of my big
horses throad me last night
and hurt my left hip brewst [1]
it right Smart my dear wife
I exspect the next time you hear
from me we will be in
maryland we air clost after the
yankeys now and we air gointo
drive them clare out of virginia
my dear wife I just awhile ago
Saw all of my play mates I Saw
