My dear wife I now Seat my Self to answer
your cind letter whitch I received yesterday evning
I was verry glad to hear form you and to hear
that you and the baby was well my dear I
am also well and harty at present and hoping
when theas few lines reaches you they will
find you boath well . My dear wife I can
inform you that I received the cakes with pleashure
and was proud of them and also the letter that
you Sent with . Myster . Crowel . and my dear
I will also receive you in pease and happness when
you come I will be prouder of you then I was
of the cakes I am also glad to hear that my
folks air getting well at home my dear I
can inform you that they air no chance of afurlow
til about Spring and I wont to See you before
that time So you Just fix for you and the
child you better bring clothse along so that
yous can change for if you get hear you dont
no when you will get back as I intend
to ceap you as long as I can for I dont
get to See you often nohow So prepare for the
time for I dont no how Soon it will be

get paid off this morning I am going to Save
all the money I can til you come and then
we will live like birds my dear you
Sead Something about the Solders making fun
of wimen coming to camp my dear I can
inform you that our compny has never
made no fun of eny woman yet but
this is the thing you air not oblidge to
come to camp I exspect to have ahouse
for you to Stay at and you need not go to
camp atall if you dont want to I will be
all the Soldier that will make fun at
you and that we will make after night
you need not be afeard of beng fund at [1] for
ramsy wont allow it I will be all the
man that will fun with you that
will be Secret fun fun within our Selves
my dear if you come you needent bring
me nothing unless apair of Socks if you
can get them for I am well clothed
now So you needente be botherd only
for you and the child prepare well for
you and the child
