My dear wife I Seat my Self to answer your cind letter
whitch I received last evning I was truly glad to hear
from you and to hear that you and Sisy air well my dear
I am allso well at present hoping when theas few lines
reaches you they will find you boath well and harty
my dear I am Sorry to tel you that the furlows air
Stopt I can inform you that my furlow was Sent
up but it come back disapproved but I am in hops
of getting afurlow this Summer the order is now to
Send all of the maried men home first and they
air but too before me So I hope I will get home yet
if my furlow wold do [1] agot Sind [2] I wold do bin home next
Sonday but now I dont no when I will get home
my dear you Sead you wonted to no Something more about
the Settler charg our boys is in the guard house yet
Mall Crowel is in the guard house yet but dont tell

Just got back from the baptising of fore men
of our Battalion I quit riting to go to See them
baptised and I will now finish my letter I wish

time that I can go with you and that before

My dear I exspect to go to See Mrs Meeks this eavning

and Sis air getting along I must Soon close
for I have no news to rite I will close by asking
