My dear wife I embrace the present opportunity
to answer your cind letter whitch I received yester day
I was truly glad to hear from you and more than glad to hear
that you and my little daughter was well my dear I am
well at present hoping when theas few lines reaches you they
will find you boath well and harty my dear you stated
that you had my watch fixt but you never Sead
what it cost you Stated too that you was Sorry for the
words you Spoke to me I can inform you that I have
forgiven you providing you will not Speak them no
more you Sead the words did not come from your hart
and I hope they dident I will forgive you this time
but never Speak to me So rough no more my dear
Sweat hart I love you better now then I ever did in my
life before and I hope you do allso my dear you Stated
that your Sisters funeral was preached last Sunday
I wish I cold do bin thare I wold like to heard it
preached you Stated too that brother Woodward was
dead I dont no as I ever Saw him or not but I heard
talk of him my dear I have no news to rite only we have
rain and Snow plenty out hear it is Snowing hear to day
and my dear about my furlow I dont know when I will
get it I may get it this Summer but it is doughtful
So I cant tel you eny thing about it for it is more
then I can tell I hardly look for it this Summer
though I will let you no if I do get one
my dear I will Send you another ring in
this letter pleas rite and let me no whether
you get it or not

fore or five letters Since you went home from
out hear and we hant had narry letter from
him yet my dear wife I must now close by
asking you to rite Soon and rite me all the
news you have and how the people air
getting along planting corn and how the
wheat looks rite me all the news you
can and rite Soon I can inform you
that we have not bin paid off Since
you was out hear as Soon as I get paid
off I will Send you Some money my dear
I wold like to rite you along letter but
I am on guard and I hant got time I
wont you to rite as Soon as you can for
I cold read aletter from you evry day
rite and let me no what it cost to
have my watch fixt my dear it is
Snowing rite along I look for another
deep Snow it is about cold anough
for adeep Snow I will now close
