my dear wife I Seat my Self
to answer your cind letter
that I received last evening
I was glad to hear form
you but Sorry to hear of
another death in the family
my dear I am not well I
have ben all most dead
for the cople last days
I have had the piles So
bad it all most cild me
but I am Some better
now I Staid at Mrs . Meeks
last night and got
Something good to eat and
that hope me lots
and this morning when
I left Mrs. Meeks She
give me Some flower and
meat anough to last me
and Daniel too days

paper blotches So bad
that I cant hardly rite
on it you Stated in
your letter that I shold
tell you whether I
wold get afurlow or not
I can inform you that
I will not get no furlow
this Summer for the
furlows air Stopt but
I will get one next
fall thats if I live
that long whitch I
hope I will
My dear I hope theas
few lines will find
you and Sisey boath
well and harty
but I am not well
my Self
