My dear wife I now Seat my
Self to answer your kind letter that I
received the other day I was glad to
hear from you but Sorry to hear that
Ben was dead . I am well at present
hopeing theas few lines may find
you well and harty My dear I have
no news to rite at present only we
have bin under marching orders for
the last three or four days my dear
I dont beleave that I can do eny thing
with this letter you Sent me becaus
you did not have the county Seal
put on it though I will try it
and if I cant I will Send it back
to you and let you try it again
My dear you Sead you beleaved that
I had left you Some more trubble
but I dont think So you must
be mystacon for I am apretty
good Judg of sutch matters and
I cant handy bee fooled

My dear as I have no news to rite . you will find
my letter verry Short . I will let you no in
afew days whether I can do eny thing with
this letter or not but you need not depend upon
it for you did not doo as I told you my dear
I will now close by asking you to rite Soon
and rite me all the news you can as I hant
got no news to rite to you my letter is but
Short rite Soon and dont delay yours as ever
