My dear wife I now Seat my
Self to drop you afew lines
to inform you that I am well
at the present time and I hope
when theas few lines reaches
you they will find you
and my dear babe enjoying
your health my dear wife I
have no news to rite only
we have ben fighting for
the last fore days but
no body hurt yet my dear
I have not had nary letter
from you Since we left
richmond and I wuld like
to hear from you I want
you to rite Soon

brigade my dear we have
but few men hear and I
am afraid that our compny
will have all the fighting
to do and if we do our compny
will get cut all to Smash
for the men we have hear air
all virgianians and they air

nothing more to right only rite
