Deare husband I seat my self to rite a few
lines to let yo now that I am well at this
time and I hope that when these few
lines come to hand they may find yo
in the same state of health I have not
got nothing mutch to rite to yo onley
that I would be glad to see yo I received
youre letter June the 2 with greate satis
faction to heare that yo was well and
fat and sasy yo wanted to now how every
thing looks at home every things
looks flurshing at this time they
pretest wheate that we ever had
coarne potates garden also every thing
looks well but I would bee beter
stistfide if yo was at home I was glad
to heare that yo had dr[a]wd cloase I
want to now why yo hant got now
money yet I have got 20 dolars since
yo left home I have received 7 leters and
11 rings I hace got a cow this is six leters

last weeke he rites that he is ageting [rety?]
well as he was wounded Margaret is aplowing
over the corne the second time and I have got
corne nee high yo rote to
me that yo was as fat now as I ever saw
yo but I hante I am pore and sow is
all the rest and what makes me pore
is after yo when I am awake
I am athinking about up an when
I am asleep I am dreeming about
yo but hour health is as good as comon
at this time Sarah and ann was proud
of thare rings and [???] like white [???]
yo must send your sister sarah a ring whe
saise that she wants one old bet is as
fat as ever yo saw her since grandpap
ond her I dont want yo to think hard
of me that yo dont get off Margaret
wants to now whether theire is any war
songs or not and if there is any thare she
wants yo to send them home to her
