I take my pen
in hand to let you
know that I am well and hoping
if theas fiew lines come to hand
they may find you all well
we have not Started out yet
as we expected when I commenced
This letter we are Still in redines
to move yet they have Sent nearley
everything off to fredricsburg
Some Say the yankes are trying to cut
us off and for my part I do not
believe that the Col nows whar
we are a going [????] [?????] you [????]
not Send that paper that I Sent for
if we have to move [??] It weill yet [??]
They are taking all the Gunns away
from Evens Part I cannot think
what they mean by the way they
are doing I must close write
