Dear belove wife I once more take my
pen in hand to let you no I am about
well altoo misery in my brest and the
hard burn with hit but I am agoing to go
to my Ridge ment in a day or two I can in form
you I did makout to git another letter at last
forth first in 30 days and I was so gld to git hit
I dint no how to behave my self I was sorry to here
you hant got well I want you when you git well
enuff to do your things stay at hom and take ce
ar of what you hav made and take cear of your
self and not work untel you git well and
if you hav to have eny thing don git som
body to do hit for you and pay them for ther

Susannah I am agoing to send you a nife by george
wittle cost secenty five cts and Wm Sundy 40
cents in silver which cost 80 cents and I wan
t you to tell him his pappy sent hit to him to
play with hve some holes made in hit
and put a string in hit and give hit to him
I will also send you 10 dollars I wod send you
more but I have to kep sum mony or suf
for sumpthing to eat Susannah let me
tell you wot I want you to do give Lucy one
dollar an that is only three dollars then that
will wight dollars one a peace and one over
mary got hit se must be a good girl
