My Deare Wife
I received your letter
this morning I was glad to heare frome
you but was sorry that you though[t]
hard of me for not writing to you
I wrote last weeak I recon you did
not send to the ofis [1]. The Dr toled
ous this morning that he would heare
in a few days wheather we will be
detailed or not but he thinks it likley
that we will be Dump I will come
after you or send just as soon as I find
out if I am detailed & then I can draw
what money I kneed I was much oblige to
you for the twenty five cts you sent me but
you kneed it more than I do I have no
use for money at present but a little
to pay for my letters so I shald sent you
what change I have at present exsept a little
that I have sent down to Wilmaton [2]
to get Seaf some shugar I will send
it just as soon as it comes to hand
I want to send you a mess of fresh
fish as soon as I get some more money
I have no way of making money but by saving
soape grease I cant imagine why Mr Hight
has not sent you that money but I suppose
he s[??] on to Reaigh [3] to attend Conference

& lett me know exactly how Seaf is
geting on you must not give way to your
fealings so you ought to feal better
satisfied now when you know whare I am
for when I can draw money then you
can come down most any time if you
should not like to say heare all the winter
if I am detailed heare I shall draw twenty
Dollars per month & a furlow evry two
months I do hope & trust that I may
get to s[t]ay heare this winter as a nurs
The gard arrested a yankey spie as they
though[t] the provomarshal had her examined
& it turned out to be a woman
