My Deare Wife
I seate my self to night
to write you a few lines I wrote to you the
first of last week but I have not received
a line from you as yet & I have felt quite
uneasy a bout if you only knew what
a pleasure it was for me to heare frome
you. you would write me evry week
Dump the small pox cases are all well &
gon home I would like if you could come down
& stay a while with me but I cant say for
surten how long I can stay heare for the
Captin wrote for me the other day to
come to the readgement I s[h]owed the letter
to the Dr he sayed that I must not go he
then wrote to General French his reply
was that I must remain as I am untill
the readgement leaves this state but I cant
tell when that will be it may be soon or it
may not leave during the ware Dump pleas
write to me soon & tell me how you are also
if you can come soon & if you cant come soon
write me imbediately there is no schance for me
to come this week I remain your devoted hos
