Goldsburo March 7, 1863

My Deare Wife,
I wrote to you yesterday but now
I have the schance of sending this by hand so I
will try and write you a few lines I sent you tew Dollars
in the last letter that I wrote you and I want you to
write me immedeately and lett me know if you got it
I have twent Dollars more that I will send you by
Mr Brookbanke he is down heare seling tobaco
he will start back home Sonday weeak & I want
to send my olde clothes by him I have a knew
blanket to send you & [???]’ll also try & get some
shugar to send you [???] white clothe if I can
get it Mr Brookbanke will return heare in
a few days after he gets heare & I want you
if you pleas to find out what day he will start back

send me a little snack to eat by him you kneed
not fret yourself to much trubel about it just
some little thing so it comes frome home I want you
to write me if Buck has got cleare of ware
& what you all have don about the land & how
you are geting on & how your health is at present
you must not fale to get that brandy to make
you some bitters dont mind what it costs
I saw a letter to day frome Charley he is still at
Wilson acting as ward master in the Hospitel
tell Seaf I will send him somting pirty
My Deare I dreamed night of ing you
I am inhopes your health is improving I hope
it will not be long before I can come to see
you kiss Seaf for me give my love to all
