Dear Cousin after my best respects to
you I seat my Self for the purpose of writ
ing you a few lines in and to yours
which came to hand afew days ago I
Was Very glad to Learn that you had
got diverled So Well at that for ked
Liting rad als sevral things you
said you had the best jok to tell me
if so you Will pleas write it in
your next Letter for I shal Not get
to See you for 2 or 3 weeks and Maby
Not for a month We are geting along
the best kind I havent stood gard
but twice cince I came from home
for We halv No gard around our
camp We are Not Exposed any
at all you Said to tell you
When I thought peace Would bee
Maid I halv My privet apinian
I think it Will bee Maid in
ashort time for thay are whiped
