yankees was allgone then we pursued
them 3 Days the hardest marshing
I Ever saw in my Life the yankees
went Rite A long the Rail Road that
Leades to Teennisee and Burnt some
goverment shops and Factresys and
taken cattle sheep and chickens
& horses &c we persued them to [3]
Salem But with Little A fect
I think it A por Excuse for in fantry
to follow cavelry & we A Rived
here to Day & I want for to see you
and the children Just as Bad as A
man can & these Lines Leavs me
